Hi Karen,

A number of your thoughts have to do with knocking down the block that is created by being defensive.

You offer ways in which to get off the tread-mill and use some other "equipment".

You show people how to recognise that they may be harming their career search efforts and then provide suggestions that empower and strengthen their "look-for-work" muscles.

Hi Karen,
Once again, an 'on-point' message that resonates with, well, just about anyone! We've all, at one point or another, encountered a 'slump' in some aspect of our lives.

I particularly like how you shared 'signs to look for' to see if one is in a career slump. (Often, we've sunk into a slump and just don't know it!)

As well, your ideas of how to lift oneself from the abyss of a career slump are helpful. Someone reading your post can, little by little, step by step, begin applying your suggestions and turn their situation around. I particularly like your idea of 'stepping out of one's comfort zone.' Like a slow drip, fear of the unknown and taking the path of least resistance can gradually erode one's career.

Appreciated reading your great blog post!
